Falco sparverius

Tom Jenner
This species is fairly common throughout the region. There are two main forms found in northern Central America; the ‘tropicalis’ group (including F. s. tropicalis and F. s. nicaraguensis) is the resident form and F. s. sparverius is the migratory form.
