| This is an uncommon winter visitor
throughout the region. My only confirmed records are from the
coast of El Salvador at Bahia de Jiquilisco and at the mouth
of the Rio Jiboa. I am also pretty sure that I saw one once
in the highlands of Guatemala near to Quetzaltenango. The Jiquilisco
bird was seen in October and was almost certainly on migration,
as it flew in from further up the coast, landed in a bush beside
the beach and then headed across the wide estuary as if continuing
its movement south. |
