Caracara

 |
| This is a fairly common bird of open
country and farmland throughout most of the region. They seem
to be especially common in the dryer regions. Howell and Webb
do not include northern and much of central Guatemala within
the range of this species, which is an area that is mostly unsuitable
highland or forest habitat. |
