| This is a fairly common resident
in northern Central America, mainly in Central Highlands. Although
never very common, they are quite conspicuous and I have seen
them at most of the highland sites that I have visited in the
region. They occasionally come down to lower altitudes and I
have seen them at sea level at El Jicarito in southern Honduras. |
