| This is the most commonly encountered
raptor over much of northern Central America. Howell and Webb
does not include some of the interior within the range, but,
although less common, they seem to be present throughout the
region in all but the highest areas. As the name suggests, they
are commonly seen sitting on telegraph poles beside roads. |
