Wedge-tailed
Shearwater
Puffinus
pacificus

Jehl saw this species in small numbers every day during intensive
observations off the Pacific coast of northern Central America
between 10th and 17th April 1973. On the afternoon of the 15th,
he saw 1500 birds in three hours. I did not see this species
on either of my pelagic trips, which were off the coast of Guatemala
on 11th May and off El Salvador on 2nd July. This suggests that
they have left our area by May.
