| Howell and Webb state that this species
is resident along both coasts of Northern Central America. Most
of my sightings follow this pattern, though I do have a sighting
from further inland in Honduras at La Lima. Howell and Webb
discuss the rapid expansion of this species since the 1950s.
Thurber et al discuss how it has subsequently declined in El
Salvador. However, this must have been temporary because they
are very common throughout the lowlands and mid elevations of
El Salvador today. |
